Pengaruh Safety Leadership Dan Safety Culture Terhadap Safety Performance: Peran Mediasi Employee Engagement

Abstract

Tingginya risiko bekerja terhadap karyawan staf operator peroduksi di perusahaan manufaktur cukup tinggi, sehingga penting untuk menjaga keselamatan karyawan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh safety leadership dan safety culture terhadap safety performance, dengan employee engagement sebagai variabel mediasi. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif, dengan metode pengumpulan data melalui kuesioner daring kepada 272 responden yang bekerja sebagai karyawan operator produksi di wilayah Kabupaten Tangerang. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan Covariance-Based Structural Equation Modeling (CB-SEM). Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa safety leadership memiliki pengaruh positif terhadap safety culture, dan safety culture juga berpengaruh positif terhadap employee engagement. Namun demikian, tidak ditemukan hubungan yang signifikan antara employee engagement dengan safety performance, baik secara langsung maupun sebagai mediator. Selain itu, pengaruh langsung safety leadership dan safety culture terhadap safety performance juga tidak signifikan. Keterbatasan penelitian ini terletak pada cakupan lokasi dan pendekatan pengumpulan data yang berbasis persepsi responden. Untuk penelitian selanjutnya, disarankan agar memperluas objek penelitian serta mempertimbangkan variabel lain yang relevan. Secara praktis, hasil penelitian ini dapat menjadi masukan bagi perusahaan dalam mengembangkan kepemimpinan dan budaya keselamatan yang lebih optimal guna meningkatkan keselamatan kerja secara menyeluruh.
